Great Mail #6

I made a new pen pal --- Lady Kay from the US! She's real fun and loves to write long chatty letters. I hope to know more about her.

You should see her handwriting, it's so neat and nice! And I love the cute stationery she used and the San Diego postcard she sent me. Can't wait to hear from her again. :)

Today's mail

The postman came really late today. He came at 3 o'clock in the afternoon! I was really shocked. He was never late. I wondered what happened to him. But he brought me some beautiful mail. :)

Kate sent me a second Simpsons' postcard. I love it! The Simpsons Family making funny faces!

The lovely Jessica from Canada sent me an envelope with lots of stamps attached. :) I love owls! They are kinda cute in their own way. I love foxes and squirrels too.

I love everything she sent me. And her letter was written on a typewriter! My first time receiving something like that. Thanks Jessica! 

I'm going back to my college tomorrow. Back to my busy study life!

My pen pal from England, Lou sent me a large packet filled with beautiful cards, a letter, a map, a poster introducing her work place, a creatively made FB (it's Rin's ) and some photos. :)

Great Mail #4

My great friend Eva from Spain returned my snail mail with a letter, a brochure and four bookmarks for my ever growing bookmark collection.The brochure was in Spanish though, and I can't read Spanish. Google translate can help me in some way...maybe...

Great Mail #3

The lovely Deirdre sent me a big envelope filled with lots of wonderful goodies. Colored tapes, cute porcelain clogs, porcelain fridge magnet, a large bunch of stamps, pretty postcards and a cute letter.

Great Mail #2

This is from Lizzie, my pen pal from Sweden. She's really an amazing pen pal. I love receiving mail from Lizzie. She always include lots of little surprises in together with her lovely letter. I love Swedish stamps! They are so beautiful.

Great mail # 1

My pen pal, Sirpa, from Finland sent me a really beautiful mail. I love the way she used the water colors to decorate the envelope and letter. She is a really brilliant water colorist.

And I love this piece of art! Sirpa drew her cat, Kiki, who was looking at their beautiful Christmas tree at home.

And she included a First Day Card together with her letter, it was issued in 2010. I love Finnish stamps and philatelic items, like the one shown below. It's a pretty flora designed card with a matching stamp.

Big pile of mail

I came home yesterday morning, a large pile of mail was on my writing desk, waiting for me to open them up. I'm working on the replies right now. But so far I have only written 3 long letters and 2 postcards. Tomorrow will be Chinese New Year and I will be really busy for the next few days. I'm afraid I have no time to blog about the lovely mail that I received. I shall blog about the mail I received after Chinese New Year.

Saying Hello

    I'm really sorry for the lack of updates recently because yours lovely is already back to college. Yes, semester 2 has just begun. I'm currently back in my hostel and I will not be receiving any mail because they will be mailed to my home in Malacca. However, next Monday will be Chinese New Year and I shall have a one-week-break! Whee~ So I will do some mail updates when I got back home this Saturday. It's awesome to be at home! I'm still trying to adapt to my hostel life. I don't quite like the food sold here (miserably ...there's no home-cooked food!) and we are certainly not allowed to cook in our hostel. I don't know why but that's part of the rules that we have to comply. Sometimes, I really missed my mom's cooking and I wanted to bake so badly (when I'm free and not occupied with tonnes of assignments and presentations of course!).

Happy Day !

After spending a few days at home reading my Nicholas Sparks novel, finally I found the strength to drag myself up from the chair to make some crafts. :)
   First I made a card. I used the puncher to punch out lots of small circles. Then I arranged them into a flower pattern and glued them onto the card one by one. There was glue on all my fingers after I'd finished. A tedious job and of course, time consuming but I really enjoyed making it.

   Later, I created a bookmark by reusing a Chinese wedding invitation card ( see the red card with golden flowery pattern ).

   I am in a perfectly good mood today and this led me to finding my long lost sticker albums! All my stickers are still intact. And next time I can use them to decorate my mail!
