YAY for MAIL !

YAY for MAIL! My aunt from Malacca ( my hometown ), came here for a visit last Saturday and I got 2 pieces of mail. One from the lovely Vanessa in Germany, one from a swap friend in Indonesia.

Another cover and postcard from Irene :)

Postcard showing a farmer plowing agricultural field in a traditional way where a plow is attached to bulls.

I like this souvenir sheet. The background looked real glamourous! The stamp was issued in 2008, and it celebrated the 600th Anniversary of Zheng He's Voyage. I studied a little bit about him in my History class last time.

Next, Vanessa sent me a beautiful handmade envie!

The back of the envelope. I love the washi tape she used! It matches the envie totally.

I must really thank her for sending me a postcard from her trip to Belgium! It shows Antwerp, a city in Belgium. The card shows few buildings: from Top Left -- the Antwerp Castle, now known as Het Steen (literally meaning, the stone castle), the Town Hall of Antwerp (Dutch:Antwerpen), and the Cathedral of Our Lady. How I  getting information from postcards all over the world.

Vanessa replied my snail mail and included a small sacket of chocolate flavoured Yogi Tea -- Hmm... my favourite! For those who don't know yet, I love drinking tea! I TEA, my favourites are Japanese Green Tea, fruit flavoured tea (lemon, blueberry etc.), English tea and the list goes on and on! Yummy~ I haven't tried chocolate flavoured tea so far, it's something new to me! Thanks Vanessa! :D

A high intensity earthquake (~ 8.6 on Richter scale) rocked Indonesia today and has triggered a tsunami alert in many countries. The Pacific Tsunami Warning Centre has issued the tsunami watch for 28 places, including Indonesia, India, Sri Lanka, Australia, Myanmar, Thailand, Maldives, Britain, Malaysia!, Mauritius, Syechelles, Pakistan, Somalia, Oman, Madagascar, Iran, UAE, Yemen, Bangladesh, Tanzania, Mozambique, Kenya, South Africa and Singapore. I'm quite worried now... Hopefully, everything will be okay, please be safe.
